    Bear Fire forces evacuations in Northern California's Sierra County

    Evacuations ordered for fire burning in Tahoe National Forest 00:17

    SIERRA BROOKS — A mandatory evacuation order was issued for a wildfire in Northern California's Tahoe National Forest on Monday.

    Cal Fire said the Bear Fire has burned nearly 1,200 acres in the Sierra Brooks area of the forest in Sierra County. Containment was at 0%.

    According to the Sierra County Sheriff's Office, multiple zones were under mandatory evacuation orders: SIE-E030, SIE-031 and SIE-E032. Multiple areas around the mandatory evacuation zones are under evacuation warnings.
