The new NFL schedule opens with a matchup between the Baltimore Ravens and Kansas City Chiefs in the 2024 NFL Kickoff Game on Thursday, September 5. The game will be a rematch of last year's AFC Championship Game and will be loaded with players near the top of the 2024 fantasy football rankings. Lamar Jackson and Patrick Mahomes are proven stars atop the 2024 fantasy football QB rankings, but players like Marquise Brown and Zay Flowers could prove to be among the top 2024 fantasy football sleepers and 2024 fantasy football breakouts.

The NFL Kickoff Game will also feature two of the top players in the 2024 fantasy football TE rankings, Travis Kelce and Mark Andrews, and two of the top fantasy football running backs in Derrick Henry and Isiah Pacheco. Should you target any of them when building your 2024 fantasy football draft strategy? As you begin your 2024 Fantasy football draft prep, be sure to check out the 2024 Fantasy football cheat sheets from the proven computer model at SportsLine .

Last year, the model accurately predicted that Dolphins wide receiver Jaylen Waddle would fail to live up to his Fantasy football ADP. Waddle's 2023 Fantasy football ADP was 34.86 overall and he was the 11th receiver off the board on average. He'd go on to notch a 1,000-yard season but only had 72 receptions with four touchdowns and he'd finish as the No. 34 Fantasy football wide receiver in CBS Sports PPR leagues.

The same model has a proven track record providing Fantasy football tips, identifying A.J. Brown as a sleeper in 2020 and nailing Jonathan Taylor's monstrous season in 2021. Additionally, it's called past Fantasy football sleepers like Derrick Henry in 2019, Christian McCaffrey and Alvin Kamara in 2018, and Davante Adams in 2017. Anybody who banked on players like those made a run at their league title.

The model is powered by the same people who generated projections for all three major Fantasy sites, and it beat human experts last season when there was a big difference in ranking. The 2024 Fantasy football PPR rankings and 2024 Fantasy football standard projections update multiple times daily, so you're always getting the best Fantasy football advice.

Now, SportsLine has simulated the entire NFL season 10,000 times and released its latest Fantasy football rankings 2024, along with plenty of sleepers, breakouts and busts. Head to SportsLine now to see them .

    Top 2024 Fantasy football busts

One of the 2024 Fantasy football busts the model is predicting: Chiefs running back Isiah Pacheco. The 25-year-old is entering his third NFL season and is the No. 1 running back in arguably the most explosive offense in the league. In two seasons, Pacheco has rushed for 1,765 yards and 12 touchdowns and caught 57 passes for 374 yards and two touchdowns.

With a 2024 fantasy football ADP of 38 in CBS Sports fantasy leagues, Pacheco is going in the third- to fourth-round range, ahead of running backs like Derrick Henry and Josh Jacobs. While Pacheco will get plenty of touches, Kansas City's pass-first offense runs through Patrick Mahomes and his favorite red zone target is tight end Travis Kelce. On top of that, Pacheco's physical running style makes him an injury risk.

Another bust that SportsLine's Fantasy football rankings 2024 have identified: Vikings receiver Jordan Addison. After being the No. 23 overall pick last year, Addison didn't disappoint with a 70-911-10 stat line. However, a deeper dive into Addison's season reveals areas of concern entering 2024. One is that the Vikings threw eight interceptions on passes in which Addison was targeted, the most in the NFL, despite Addison ranking just 31st in targets. Another is that Addison's production seemed to coincide in who he was sharing the field with.

The rookie was the WR7 from Weeks 1-8 when Kirk Cousins was under center, but dropped to the WR37 in Weeks 9-18 when Minnesota started three other QBs. Additionally, the three games in which Addison was targeted the most times last season came when Justin Jefferson was sidelined. Cousins is now long gone and you can't bank on Jefferson getting hurt again; both of those factors diminish Addison's stock. SportsLine's model pegs him as a Fantasy football bust 2024 and slots him behind Christian Watson, despite the Packers wideout being drafted multiple rounds later on average. How to find proven 2024 Fantasy football rankings

SportsLine is also low on a wide receiver who is being drafted as a top-15 player at his position. The model ranks him outside its top 20 wide receivers for 2024 and expects him to see major regression. You can only see who it is, and the 2024 Fantasy football rankings for every player, at SportsLine .
