The 2024-25 college football season will end in Atlanta on Jan. 20, 2025. It's an Atlanta-based team that will open the season as part of the Week 0 college football schedule when the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets take on the No. 10 Florida State Seminoles in Ireland at noon ET on Saturday, Aug. 24. The Yellow Jackets return a majority of their starters from a team that went 7-6 and won a bowl game last year for the first time since 2016. FSU, coming off a 13-1 record and an ACC crown last year, is the 11.5-point favorite in the latest Week 0 college football odds via SportsLine consensus.

SMU, meanwhile, is joining the ACC this season and the Mustangs play at Nevada at 8 p.m. ET on Saturday in a CBS Sports Network matchup. The Mustangs are 27.5-point favorites in the latest Week 0 college football spreads. Before locking in any college football picks for Week 0 of the 2024 season, be sure to see the latest college football predictions from SportsLine's proven model .

The model simulates every FBS college football game 10,000 times. Since its inception, it has generated a profit of well over $2,000 for $100 players on its top-rated college football picks against the spread. It is also coming off a profitable 13-9 season on top-rated spread picks. Anyone who has followed it has seen strong returns.

Now, it has turned its attention to the latest college football odds for Week 0 and locked in picks for every FBS matchup. Head here to see every pick .

Top college football predictions for Week 0

One of the top college football picks the model is recommending for Saturday, Aug. 24: FSU and Georgia Tech go under 56.5 points. With quarterback Jordan Travis at the helm, FSU had one of the more explosive offenses in the nation last season. However, his injury on Nov. 18 changed everything as the Seminoles only mustered 14.7 points per game from that point forward.

Former Clemson and Oregon State quarterback DJ Uiagalelei is expected to start for FSU this year, and it's uncertain if he'll be able to get the FSU offense rolling again, especially with all the losses the Seminoles took at the skill positions. This total has jumped form 51.5 to 56.5, and SportsLine's model has found value on the inflated number, predicting the teams combine for 53 points as the Under hits in more than 60% of simulations.
