After battling a hamstring injury earlier in the preseason, Lions running back Jahmyr Gibbs returned to practice with just over a week until the start of the 2024 NFL schedule, much to the delight of anybody who had already drafted him. However, many Fantasy football 2024 drafts will take place in the coming days and the potential for soft-tissue injuries to linger might make some managers wary of Gibbs. Where should you target him and who else is dealing notable 2024 Fantasy football injuries as we head towards the regular season?

Reliable 2024 Fantasy football QB rankings, 2024 Fantasy football RB rankings, 2024 Fantasy football WR rankings, and 2024 Fantasy football TE rankings can help you build depth throughout your roster and prepare for inevitable injuries. They can also help you prepare for major runs at each position to ensure you don't get caught napping during your 2024 Fantasy football draft prep. If you're looking for 2024 Fantasy football advice, be sure to check out the 2024 Fantasy football cheat sheets from the proven computer model at SportsLine .

Last year, the model accurately predicted that Dolphins wide receiver Jaylen Waddle would fail to live up to his Fantasy football ADP. Waddle's 2023 Fantasy football ADP was 34.86 overall and he was the 11th receiver off the board on average. He'd go on to notch a 1,000-yard season but only had 72 receptions with four touchdowns and he'd finish as the No. 34 Fantasy football wide receiver in CBS Sports PPR leagues.

The same model has a proven track record providing Fantasy football tips, identifying A.J. Brown as a sleeper in 2020 and nailing Jonathan Taylor's monstrous season in 2021. Additionally, it's called past Fantasy football sleepers like Derrick Henry in 2019, Christian McCaffrey and Alvin Kamara in 2018, and Davante Adams in 2017. Anybody who banked on players like those made a run at their league title.

The model is powered by the same people who generated projections for all three major Fantasy sites, and it beat human experts last season when there was a big difference in ranking. The 2024 Fantasy football PPR rankings and 2024 Fantasy football standard projections update multiple times daily, so you're always getting the best Fantasy football advice and the latest Fantasy football tiers.

Top 2024 Fantasy football QB rankings

Here's a look at SportsLine's top three 2024 Fantasy football QB picks:

    1. Josh Allen, Buffalo Bills: Allen may have a track record of coming up short in the postseason, but from a fantasy football perspective, he is a championship-level quarterback. The 28-year-old has rare arm talent, and is one of the top running quarterbacks of his generation. Allen will be without Stefon Diggs this season, but his ability to beat defenses with his arm and legs, especially in the red zone, continue to make him an elite fantasy football quarterback.

    2. Jalen Hurts, Philadelphia Eagles: Like Allen, Hurts is a dual-threat quarterback who can carry fantasy football teams to a championship. Hurts battled some injuries in 2023, but he still managed to play in all 17 regular season games and produced massive fantasy numbers in the process. Hurts may have the best wide receiver duo in the league at his disposal (A.J. Brown and Devonta Smith), and his ability as a runner (15 rushing TDs in 2023) makes him one of the top fantasy football quarterbacks heading into the 2024 season.

    3. Lamar Jackson, Baltimore Ravens: Jackson is one of the best athletes to ever play the quarterback position in the NFL. In addition to his improvements as a thrower, Jackson also has two 1,000-yard rushing seasons on his career resume. With Mark Andrews back and Derrick Henry joining him in the backfield, everything is in place for Jackson to have another massively productive season for the Ravens in 2024. See more top QBs here .

Top 2024 Fantasy football RB rankings

Here's a look at SportsLine's top three 2024 Fantasy football RB picks:

    1. Christian McCaffrey, San Francisco 49ers: McCaffrey was on the Madden cover and he's been battling a calf injury all preseason, but the 49ers have largely been taking preventative measures to ensure their star running back is ready Week 1. If he's in the lineup, you know exactly what you're getting, as he's averaged 119.7 scrimmage yards and 1.1 touchdowns per game since he was traded to San Francisco.

    2. Breece Hall, New York Jets: Hall spent the first month of the season on a pitch count after suffering a season-ending injury as a rookie and faced loaded boxes after Aaron Rodgers was injured in Week 1. However, he still managed 1,585 scrimmage yards and nine touchdowns. It should be smoother sailing in Year Three with Rodgers healthy to soften opposing defenses.

    3. Saquon Barkley, Philadelphia Eagles: Barkley spent his first six seasons in New York and missed 25 games during that span while playing behind a porous offensive line. However, he still 7,311 scrimmage yards and 47 touchdowns in 74 games while averaging more than 20 touches per game. That workload might go down in a talented Philadelphia offense but the quality of opportunities should increase with the surrounding skill talent and a strong offensive line. See more top RBs here .

Top 2024 Fantasy football WR rankings

Here's a look at SportsLine's top three 2024 Fantasy football WR picks:

    1. CeeDee Lamb, Dallas Cowboys: Now entering his fifth NFL season, Lamb has set a new career-high in receptions, yards and receiving touchdowns in every year of his career. That culminated in a 2023 campaign where he produced 135 catches for 1,749 yards and 12 touchdowns. Even if he can't top those numbers again in 2024, he'll be the top option in a prolific Dallas offense and his floor is as high as any receiver in the game.

    2. Tyreek Hill, Miami Dolphins: When Hill left Kansas City, a few prognosticators dared to predict that his production would fall off without Patrick Mahomes. Instead, he piled up 238 receptions for 3,509 yards and 20 touchdowns over two seasons in Miami. He led the NFL in yards per route run (3.88) and it's hard to imagine a world where he isn't one of the league's best outside of injury -- and he's only missed one game in the last three years.

    3. Amon-Ra St. Brown, Detroit Lions: Like Lamb, St. Brown has improved upon his numbers in each of his three years in the NFL and he's coming off a season where he had 119 catches for 1,515 yards and 10 touchdowns. However, unlike the other two, he does most of his damage near the line of scrimmage, with an average depth of target of just 7.9 yards (85th among NFL receivers) and 668 yards after catch (second among receivers). Top 2024 Fantasy football TE rankings

Here's a look at SportsLine's top three 2024 Fantasy football TE picks:

    1. Travis Kelce, Kansas City Chiefs: Kelce's run of seven straight seasons with 1,000 or more receiving yards came to an end in 2023, but the future Hall of Famer was still among the most productive fantasy tight ends in the league. The 34-year-old caught 93 passes for 984 yards and five touchdowns last season, which was a step back for him, but still enough for him to be a top-three tight end when it was all said and done. Of all the tight ends in the NFL, Kelce is in arguably the best situation from both schematic and quarterback perspectives.

    2. Sam LaPorta, Detroit Lions: LaPorta exploded onto the fantasy football scene as a rookie in 2023, catching 86 passes for 889 yards and 10 touchdowns. Year two should bring more familiarity with the Lions' system and quarterback Jared Goff for LaPorta. The former Iowa standout also has the benefit of playing in an offense that features playmakers Amon-Ra St. Brown and Jahmyr Gibbs, who will attract plenty of attention from opposing defenses.

    3. Mark Andrews, Baltimore Ravens: Andrews was on pace to have one of the best years of his career in 2023 before an ankle injury ended his season prematurely. In 10 games, the former Oklahoma standout caught 45 passes for 544 yards and six touchdowns. Andrews is set to enter the 2024 season completely healthy and will be looking to reclaim his status as the No. 1 target for reigning NFL MVP Lamar Jackson. See more top TEs here .
