Cardinals wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. is one of the popular 2024 Fantasy football breakout players after a successful college career at Ohio State. One of the 2024 Fantasy football sleepers the model is predicting: Colts wide receiver Michael Pittman. Pittman finished last season with 109 receptions and 1,110 receiving yards. He was targeted 156 times and his 30% target share ranked him among the league leaders.
Pittman has finished with more than 1,000 receiving yards in two of his last three seasons, proving he is a reliable option at wide receiver for Fantasy owners. He's expected to be the clear-cut No. 1 receiver in Indianapolis in 2024, but owners are sleeping on him this year despite his constant production. SportsLine's model ranks Pittman, who's being drafted in the eighth round on average, ahead of receivers like DJ Moore, George Pickens and Jaylen Waddle, all of whom are being drafted ahead of him. One of the 2024 Fantasy football breakouts the model is predicting: Giants wide receiver Malik Nabers. The No. 6 overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft is coming off back-to-back 1,000-yard seasons to close out his career at LSU. Over three years with the Tigers, Nabers caught 189 passes for 3,003 yards and 21 touchdowns.
He backed that production up by running the 40-yard-dash in 4.35 seconds at the LSU Pro Day and hitting 42 inches in the vertical leap. There are some potential target quality issues with Daniel Jones at quarterback but the model is still expecting Nabers to follow in a long line of great LSU receivers. Top 2024 Fantasy football busts
As for players to avoid, the model lists Miami Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa as one of its 2024 Fantasy football busts. The former Alabama standout is coming off the best season of his NFL career, but the model is calling for a dip in production in 2024. Tagovailoa struggled down the stretch last season, with his second half production paling in comparison to the numbers he put up during the first half of 2023.
Tagovailoa is currently coming off the board in the eighth round on average (94.5 ADP) in CBS Sports fantasy drafts, ahead of guys like Kirk Cousins, Justin Herbert, and Caleb Williams. While he does have one of the top wide receiver duos in the NFL at his disposal in Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle, there is a significant amount of risk in drafting Tagovailoa.
