A semi truck hauling a windmill blade struck a railroad overpass in Maine on Friday morning.

The accident happened at about 5:30 a.m. on Route 1 in Stockton Springs, Maine on August 9th.

According to Bangor Daily News , the tractor trailer hauling the windmill blade collided with the railroad overpass, causing it to overturn. The crash caused such a loud noise, that residents nearby could hear the collision.

No one was hurt in the crash, but crews will be working to remove the windmill blade and overturned rig for the next several hours. Once completed, the blade will be loaded onto another truck and brought back to its original location in Searsport. The blade was intended for delivery in Columbia.

The Maine Department of Transportation is diverting traffic from the bridge to Route 174A to Route 1A and back to Route 1. No further information has been released.
