    Player of the Year

    Jordan Lynch, Infield, Rising Sun

    The Virginia Tech signee continued to showcase her talents as the top player throughout the area this past spring. Finished the season with a .557 batting average, while driving in 31 RBIs. Lynch did so with a team-high nine home runs, plus five doubles and four triples. Ended the year with an OPS of 1.845 and an on-base percentage of .644.

    Coach of the Year

    Paul Taylor, Rising Sun

    Finished the season with a perfect record in county and division play, en route to an undefeated season for the Tigers. Finished the year with a record of 23-0 and led Rising Sun to its second straight Class 2A State Championship, the eighth state title in school history. Became the fifth program in Cecil County history to win back-to-back state championships. Has compiled a record of 45-1 over the past two seasons.

    Madison Ore, Pitcher, Rising Sun

    One of two Rising Sun pitchers that showcased their dominance from the circle throughout the spring. Finished the season with a 1.54 ERA, while striking out 75 batters in 81 2/3 innings of work. Finished the season with a WHIP of .943 and allowed just 18 earned runs all season.

    Taylor Stapleford, Pitcher, Rising Sun

    Used pitch movement to keep batters off balance throughout the spring. Struck out 83 batters in 60 innings pitched, good for an ERA of .817 and a WHIP of .750. Allowed just seven earned runs all season.

    LeeAnn Pugh, Pitcher, Elkton

    Serving as the ace in the circle for the Elks, Pugh struck out 139 batters. Added a reliable bat at the top of Elkton’s lineup, Pugh finished the year with a .553 batting average.

    Justina Morgan, Elkton, Catcher

    A big bat in the Elkton lineup that consistently moved between the clean-up and five hole as a member of the Golden Elks. Added timely defensive plays on the field at the catcher spot for the Elks.

    Taylor McGuirk, Infield, Perryville

    McGuirk’s bat served as a threat for opponents in the Perryville lineup. Finished the season with 11 RBIs. Added a .958 fielding percentage for the Panthers.

    Josalyn McMillan, Infield, Rising Sun

    The Shepherd University signee did it all for the Tigers at her second base position and at the plate. Ended the season with a fielding percentage of .985 and recorded one error all season. In the batter’s box, McMillan finished the season with 30 RBIs, 16 doubles, three triples and one home run. Finished her senior year with an on-base percentage of .633 and an OPS of 1.535.

    Kylee Bergman, Infield, Bohemia Manor

    A bat that made a difference in the Bohemia Manor batting order. Finished the season with a .344 batting average, seven doubles, one triple and 10 RBIs.

    Alyssa Broderdorp, Outfield, Bohemia Manor

    A high impact player that could hit and field for the Eagles. Finished the season with a .392 batting average with 14 RBIs. Added 10 doubles and a triple for Bohemia Manor.

    Sam Dixon, Outfield, Rising Sun

    An athletic center fielder who patrolled the outfield for Rising Sun. Recorded a fielding percentage of .929 and recorded just two errors all season. The Nova Southeastern signee finished the year with a .387 batting average and an on-base percentage of .472. Drove in 19 RBIs with 23 singles, three triples and a home run.

    Skyla Contreras, Outfield, North East

    A strong defensive player who always connected with the ball, Contreras finished the year with a .355 batting average and drove in eight RBIs for the Indians.

    Bri Cole, DH, Rising Sun

    Provided steady production at the plate as a designated hitter for the Tigers. Ended her senior season with a .388 batting average, plus an on-base percentage of .483. The Goldey-Beacom signee tallied 26 RBIs with five doubles and two home runs.

    Maddie Holmes, UT, Elkton

    The Jefferson University signee did it all for the Elks as she played in the field. Pitched and played multiple positions in the infield and outfield for Elkton. A true two-way player for the Elks.

    Jordon Alexander, UT, Bohemia Manor

    A productive member of the Bohemia Manor lineup, Alexander drove in a team-high 29 RBIs on 28 hits, including eight doubles and a home run. Ended the season batting .350 for the Eagles with an OPS of .886.

    Emma Bowman, UT, Perryville

    A reliable piece of the Panthers’ lineup, Bowman finished the season with a team-high 19 RBIs. Added 25 hits with 18 singles and seven doubles for the Panthers.
