Two Floyd Residents Arrested in 'Operation Etowah Exploits' Sting
The Georgia Bureau of Investigation arrested 14 people, including two Floyd County residents, Monday following months of planning to combat human trafficking. A 56-year-old Rome woman was arrested for assault on Monday. According to Floyd County Jail records Linda Lee Thomas allegedly threatened to kill a victim after hitting them multiple times and shoving them at her residence on Nan Lee Drive. The Floyd County Police Department arrested Thomas for felony terroristic threats and acts and simple assault family violence.

The Rome Police Department will place barricades and directional cones in areas along Riverside Parkway to assist with traffic direction while entering and exiting Ridge Ferry Park on July 4, 2024.
