Cathy was born May 6, 1951, in Cedartown, Georgia, daughter of the late Fred Boling and Barbara Jean Hardin.
Cathy was a member of the Morning View Baptist Church where she loved to sing and play piano. She was a loving person with a gentle nature.
She was a caring and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, and was always present in the lives of those she loved. She leaves a legacy of steadfast faith, love, and encouragement.
In addition to her parents, Cathy was preceded in death by her daughter, Rhonda Shelton; son, William Allen Garrett; and brothers, Jerry Boling and Robert Hardin.
Mrs. Garrett is survived by her loving husband of fifty-one years, Mr. Herman Garrett; daughter, Gia Pyles and her husband, Robbie; daughter, Yvonne Moats and her husband, Johnny; daughter in law, Christina Garrett; siblings, Nancy Highfield and her husband, Butch, Deneen Hardin, Randy Boling and his wife, Sylvia, and Kenneth Hardin. Grandchildren, Savannah Griffith and her husband, Tyler; Hunter Moats and his wife, Baylee; Hope Garrett, Timmy Garrett, Candice Sparks and her husband, Dedric; Casey Woody and her husband, Michael; Blake Shelton and his wife, Pamela; several great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive.
Funeral service to honor Cathy’s life will be held Saturday, July 6, 2024, at 1:00 PM in the chapel of Smith & Miller Funeral Home with Reverend Jeff Hulsey officiating.
The family will receive friends Saturday, July 6, 2024, from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM at Smith & Miller Funeral Home.
