Ohio State adds key LB to top 2025 recruiting class

Blue-chip prospect Riley Pettijohn from McKinney, Texas, committed Saturday to the Buckeyes. According to the 247Sports composite, he's a five-star recruit, the No. 4 overall linebacker and No. 31 player in the class.

FRISCO, Texas – Two weeks of competitive games featuring more than 800 teams have come to a close, wrapping up US Youth Soccer’s Regional Championships. Since the second week of June, many of the best teams in the country throughout the 12U-19U Age Groups have competed in USYS’ longstanding event with trips to Orlando, Fla., and spots at the storied National Championships on the line.
Big Rally Falls Just Short On The Fourth
Frisco, TX—Down six runs early, the Arkansas Travelers fought nearly all the way back but fell to the Frisco RoughRiders, 7-6 on Thursday night. A 14 hit night for the Travelers offense was highlighted by seven doubles including two each from Harry Ford and Morgan McCullough. Victor Labrada also went 4-4 with a double and a walk in just his ninth Double-A game. After having their starting pitcher knocked out of the game in the first inning, three Arkansas relievers combined for 7.1 innings of one-run ball to allow the opportunity for the comeback.
RoughRiders win in front of second-largest crowd in franchise history
FRISCO, Texas (July 4, 2024) – The Frisco RoughRiders, the Double-A affiliate of the World Series Champion Texas Rangers, welcomed the second-largest crowd in franchise history on Stars and Stripes Night presented by Rhythm Energy with 12,051 fans packing sold-out Riders Field in a 7-6 win against the Arkansas Travelers (Seattle Mariners). The night also marked the largest crowd on the Fourth of July in franchise history.
Rodden Homers But Travs Fall In Frisco
Frisco, TX—Brock Rodden smacked his second home run in 10 games with Arkansas but the Travelers were dropped by the Frisco RoughRiders, 8-2 on Friday night. The RoughRiders posted three multi-run innings in the game and held Arkansas to just five hits. Hogan Windish had a two hit game including a double. Winston Santos was the winner for Frisco working five innings.
Fortenberry brings momentum to Bulldogs
Over the last seven months, junior college left-handed pitcher Robert Fortenberry has seen his entire life change. The Frisco, Texas, pitcher finished up a solid freshman season at Weatherford College (Texas) uncommitted. Before his sophomore season Fortenberry committed to Mississippi State. After that, he put together a season that landed him the Division I NJCAA Pitcher of the Year honor nationally.
