Man uses knife to defend himself after suspect allegedly enters Jackson home with a baseball bat
JACKSON, Mich. (WILX) - Jackson police said one man used a knife to defend himself after a person allegedly went into his home with a baseball bat overnight Wednesday. On July 24, just before 2:45 a.m., police said they were called to Greenwood Avenue and W. Biddle Street for a disturbance. When they arrived, they discovered that a 27-year-old man had been hit by a brick, allegedly by a 43-year-old person.
Early morning fire destroys garage, damages 2 homes in Jackson
JACKSON, MI – A detached garage was destroyed and two houses were damaged early Wednesday when a fire broke out in the garage. Fire crews were called at 3:59 a.m. July 24, to a home on Steward Avenue near Van Buren Street for the garage fire, according to the Jackson Fire Department.
