Ypsilanti store among Big Lots closing in Michigan
YPSILANTI, MI -- Store closing signs are currently hanging on the Big Lots store in Ypsilanti, indicating the discount retailer’s time in the city will soon come to an end. Big Lots, 2850 Washtenaw Ave., is among four stores closing in Michigan, according to the company’s website. The other stores are in Portage, Okemos and Kentwood.
Michigan man, 46, killed in motorcycle crash in Ann Arbor
ANN ARBOR, Mich. (CBS DETROIT) - A Michigan man has died after his motorcycle collided with an SUV on Friday in Ann Arbor.Ann Arbor police responded to the area of W. Stadium Boulevard and Winewood Avenue. A preliminary investigation found that the 46-year-old motorcyclist from Milan was traveling southbound on W. Stadium Boulevard when he collided with an SUV that was turning onto Winewood Avenue.The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene.The driver of the SUV, a 60-year-old man, was not hurt in the crash.Ann Arbor police believe speed was a factor.The crash is under investigation. LANSING, Mich. (WILX) - There have been many very successful gymnasts to come out of Mid-Michigan over the years. Delhi Township native Lilia Cosman is no exception. Cosman will be the first Lansing-area native to compete in the Olympic games since gymnast Jordyn Wieber in 2012. The 16-year-old was introduced to gymnastics by her older sister ten years ago.
