A large tree was removed at the intersection of the two streets. CAC seeking help with backpacks and supplies News Staff Wed, 07/03/2024 - 11:29 Image Body The Children’s Advocacy Center Back to School Drive is asking for your help for local children in need by providing them with a backpack and supplies. Children receiving the backpacks all benefit from life-changing programs made available by the CAC. Drop off basic supplies or donations at the Shelby County CAC at 131 Tenaha Street in Center Monday through Friday between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m. Donations are needed by July 19. Gates open at 6:30 p.m. Entertainment begins at 7 p.m., and a fireworks display is scheduled for 9 p.m. The invocation will be led by Bro. Bill Holmes followed by the Pledge of Allegiance to the U.S. Flag and a moment of silence. Amanda Treat-Brock will welcome attendees and introduce the entertainment. The evenings event will close with a fireworks display and the National Anthem.
