I remember my first time riding on the Conway Scenic Railroad. I loved watching trains, and the house I grew up in in South Paris, Maine, had tracks I could see right out a window at the end of the street. I'd often walk down to the crossing to watch them switch cars out of the Paris Manufacturing Company, and one time, the engineer offered me a ride. Late Morning, Friday, July 26, 2024, Madison, New Hampshire. Hey everyone, it’s a sticky Friday morning over here in eastern New Hampshire. This week has worn me out and I’ve been struggling to finish any work. Even though I had a night this week where I couldn’t get any sleep, I’m set on shaking off the tiredness and getting some writing done. My head is spinning with so many feelings – kinda feels like being back in Hurricane Andrew back in ’92.
Interlakes Summer Theatre opens ‘Legally Blonde’ July 31
MEREDITH — The Interlakes Summer Theatre program will continue on July 31 with “Legally Blonde The Musical,” which runs through Aug. 11. Based on the beloved 2001 movie, “Legally Blonde” follows the transformation of Elle Woods whose life is turned upside down when an expected wedding proposal ends in the Delta Nu president getting dumped. When Elle decides to get serious and follow ex-boyfriend Warner to Harvard Law School to win him back, she soon realizes she is in way over her head as she battles snobbery, sexism and stereotypes.
