Quilts of Valor honors Holiday veterans

The Scrap Happy Quilters of Center made and awarded nine Quilts of Valor to veterans at Holiday Nursing and Rehabilitation in Center during January. Recipients were Robert Clifton, Otis Sailors, LeVon Andrews, James Paxton, David Wright, Jackie Brown, Harry Hale, Harry Capps, and Tommy Lathan. Thank you for your service and sacrifice in serving our country. Pictured are members of the Scrap Happy Quilters of Center and staff members at Holiday Nursing and Rehabilitation.

Scrap Happy Quilters meet the first Saturday of the month at the James/Antioch Community House located at 348 FM 2608, Center at 9 a.m. From Center take Highway 7 East toward Joaquin and turn right on FM 2608 at the James Store. The building is about 1/4 mile on the right or first driveway past CR 3210.
