More than 100 high school students across Long Island are learning what it takes to be a lawyer. They took part in this year's Eastern District New York Justice Institute held in Central Islip. "We have been in breakout sessions with different mentors from law schools. They have been walking us through basic things." says high school sophomore Alex Boeckmann. The weeklong program gives students a hands-on opportunity to learn how to present a legal case into front of a judge. The program also included presentations from federal agents, local law enforcement members and first responders." I think this is the best experience I have ever had," added freshman Thomas Hestos, from Holtsville. "
