CENTRE COUNTY, Pa. (WTAJ) – Officials are asking for Centre County residents’ input about future development to better shape the community over the next 21 years.

The Centre Regional Planning Agency released a website where residents can provide feedback to update the regional comprehensive plan, which details the community’s vision for future development and growth. The plan includes land use, transportation, housing, economic development, infrastructure, environmental conservation and community services.

The plan was first adopted in 2013 and is reviewed every 10 years for any updates.

The feedback website is two-fold. Residents can provide feedback in a survey and a Community Engagement Map. On the map, locals are asked to enter specific addresses where they can rate that area based on: Strength, Weakness, Opportunity, or Threat, and comment with specific details about the rating.

The comprehensive plan includes six municipalities: Harris Township, College Township, Patton Township, Halfmoon Township, Ferguson Township, and the Borough of State College. The survey and map will be open for community input June 28 – October 1, 2024.
