A lane closure was in place on East College Avenue at rush hour Monday following a crash involving a motorcycle in College Township.

The crash was at the intersection of Struble Road and College Avenue, near Burger King. College Avenue was down to one lane headed toward the Nittany Mall at about 5:30 p.m, with traffic backed up in the area toward Houserville Road.

At least one other vehicle was involved, photographs from the scene from CDT visuals editor Abby Drey show.

A medical helicopter was called to the scene but the extent of injuries and other details of the crash were not immediately available.

By 7:45 p.m., a lane restriction was no longer in place, according to the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation.

In addition to State College police, Alpha Fire Company and the Patton Township Police Department were among those who responded.
