Stothert's 2025 budget: Slash property tax rate, fully staff OPD, add city facilities
OMAHA, Neb. — Mayor Jean Stothert proposed a property tax rate cut, new facilities for first responders, an asphalt plant for potholes, and continued funding for a homeless services coordinator, among other highlights in her 2025 budget. The budget is $531.1 million, a 4.8% increase over 2024, according to her office.
