Underwood stacking 2024-25 schedule with tough non-conference competition

(WCIA) — With a top-ranked roster comes top-ranked competition, and Brad Underwood is filling up Illinois’s schedule with tough opponents.

Illinois will play against a gauntlet of teams that includes Arkansas, Alabama, Duke and Oakland, including teams yet to be announced.

“It’s how we’re building this program, continuing to build it, keep it elevated is through great scheduling,” said Brad Underwood. “Having opportunities to play in some marquee events. We’re never gonna shy away from playing anybody anywhere anytime. You know we keep recruiting to try to put guys in these situations where they’re going to play against the best.”

The Illini were 15-3 in non-conference play during the 2023-24 season.
