CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (WCIA) — The Champaign Park District is asking for your help as they continue to decide how the new Clark Park will look.

The million dollar capital improvement project will redo the playground and make the park more handicap accessible. Following a public meeting last week, the district is now opening an online survey to give people a chance to make their opinions heard. The ten question survey will have people rate the amenities they’d like to see included at the park.

“With doing a project of this size, there’s a lot of opportunity to kind of adjust some of the other amenities or look at how is the park being used and what could we add here, What isn’t working anymore,” said Chelsea Norton, Director of Marketing and Development for Champaign Park District. “And so we’ve been seeking community feedback as a way to kind of get some of that information on how people use the park, what they would love to see in the park. And it’s been really fun to kind of get that feedback from them.”

Norton said the next steps will be for the park district to analyze the data and begin crafting a game plan of what will be included. To let your voice be heard, take the survey here .
