(WCIA) — Transfer tight end Carson Goda will make his Division I debut under the lights at Memorial Stadium.

Goda played three seasons at Saint Anselm College in New Hampshire before entering the portal and landing at Illinois.

“Coach Tank and this strength conditioning group is unbelieveable and they’re doing great things every day and I mean I’ve already gained a decent amount of weight just being here for four weeks so really they do an awesome job and I think that if I stay with this they can turn anybody into a freak so it’s pretty cool being in this environment,” said Goda.

During his junior campaign, Goda was second in the Northeast-10 in receptions, total receiving yards and receiving yards per game.
