CALIFORNIA, Md. – A troubling incident from California, Maryland, Patrick Clay Murphy Jr., 34, of Bryans Road, Maryland was arrested on July 1, 2024, on charges of driving under the influence and negligent driving. ‘A really good day for commuters’: $40M in funding approved for Route 28 project
Transportation planners have approved a second round of funding in long-range plans to improve the commute on Route 28 between Manassas Park and Fairfax County. Virginia state Sen. Danica Roem (D-Prince William County) said the Northern Virginia Transportation Authority OK’d $40 million to fund road improvements that include innovative intersection designs, a raised median and a 1.75 mile-long sidewalk between Manassas in the Yorkshire area of Prince William County.
Tuckahoe Little League complex project moving forward despite setbacks
Despite numerous setbacks, Henrico’s Tuckahoe Little League complex renovation project is still in the works. After a bond referendum including $16 million for the project was approved by voters in 2016, the county created a plan to improve numerous aspects of the complex, such as revamping fields, creating a new main entrance, building new restrooms and batting cages, and more. The project initially was set to be completed sometime this summer.
