Crash in downtown Madison sends biker to hospital

MADISON, Wis. -- A crash on the pedestrian path at S. Bedford St. and W. Washington Ave. Saturday sent a biker to the hospital, said the Madison Fire Department.

The MFD said the crash happened between a motorist and a biker, who, as a result of injuries, was transported to a local hospital by ambulance. The motorist stayed on scene as police arrived. The biker is still alive.

This is a developing investigation. More information will be added to this story upon updates from the Madison Fire and Police Departments.
