Janesville police arrest one following double fatal crash

JANESVILLE, Wis. -- Janesville police say a person has been arrested following a double fatal crash Saturday morning. JPD provided the update Sunday saying they are investigating the crash as a double homicide by intoxicated use of a vehicle.

Police say the driver, aged 32, failed to stop at a red light at the intersection of E. Delevan Dr. and Beloit Ave.

The two people in the second vehicle driving northbound were pronounced deceased on the scene.

JPD additionally say the driver of the first vehicle was arrested after failing field sobriety tests. A warrant was issued for blood samples.

The investigation is now on-going.
