    City of Beloit to begin resurfacing projects

    BELOIT, Wis. -- Motorists who take these roads in Beloit will see their routes slightly altered.

    The City of Beloit's resurfacing project is being broken into three stages to complete all the work between August and October, weather permitting.

    Stage 1: Clinic Road and Big Hill Drive: Monday to early September. Clinic Road will be temporarily closed to through traffic starting Thursday.

    Stage 2: Oakwood Cemetery, Highland Avenue, Oak Street, Intersection of Inman Parkway/Prairie Avenue: Sept 9 to end of September

    Stage 3: Post Road, E Briar Lane, Wood Drive, Dewey Avenue, Austin PI/Carnforth PI/Chatsworth Drive, E. Grand Avenue, Highland Avenue, and Poole Court E: Sept 9 through early October.

    There will be minimal impacts to residents in these areas while the project is being completed. The roads will be open to at least one lane of traffic while the project is completed, except for work on Clinic Road.
