WHAT WE'RE TRACKING :

• Storms late Thursday night
• Cooler for Labor Day Weekend
• Dry next week

PLANNING THE NE X T 24 HOURS: Temperatures finally come down to more seasonal levels today. Afternoon temperatures will be right near the 80 degree mark with a bit of humidity lingering. A few spotty showers are possible. but most stay dry. Wednesday night temperatures will fall into the mid 60s, much better than the last few nights.

EXTENDED FORECA ST : A better chance of rain and even thunderstorms will track in late Thursday evening into the overnight hours. The best chance of severe weather ahead of this cold front remains west of Madison. Labor Day Weekend is looking dry and seasonably warm. On Labor Day, Monday, temperatures will fall slightly below normal, into the lower to mid 70s. Early next week, some areas may see overnight temperatures falling into the upper 40s!
