Nine Reedsburg juveniles cited for Amish harassment

REEDSBURG, Wis. — Nine juveniles from the Reedsburg area were cited for disorderly conduct after reports of harassing behavior towards the Amish community, according to a release from the Sauk County Sheriff's Department.

Police were alerted to the harassment Aug. 11 and made contact with a vehicle suspected to be involved.

This comes on the heels of Reedsburg High School canceling the football team's first two games due to unspecified conduct by football players.

Sauk County Sheriff Chip Meister said he could confirm that some of the juveniles cited for disorderly conduct are members of the Reedsburg High School football team, he did not know if all of them are.
