Police said in an updated release that the tactical situation was resolved "quickly without incident." Further details will be made available later today.

BEAVER DAM, Wis. -- An ongoing tactical situation in Beaver Dam Sunday led to the closure of part of one road in the city.

According to the Dodge County Sheriff's Office, it, along with the Beaver Dam Police Department, has closed Madison St. from Chattam St. to Curie St.

The Sheriff's Office said in a statement that it urges residents to shelter in place or leave the area completely.

No additional information about the tactical situation is available at this time. The Sheriff's Office said it is unsure how long the situation will last. The community will receive follow-up later today or when the street is re-opened, whichever comes first.
