CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – Heavy rain associated with Friday afternoon thunderstorms has caused some roads in downtown Charleston to flood.

The National Weather Service in Charleston issued a flood advisory for the Charleston area until 6:15 p.m. Forecasters say minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas can be expected during the afternoon.
