Texas-Based Pinstack Exploring Expansion to Charlotte

Texas-based Pinstack , a unique dining and entertainment destination, is exploring an expansion to Charlotte.

Paperwork has been filed in Mecklenburg County to potentially bring Pinstack to 7101 MacFarlane Blvd, Suite 101, which would undergo a complete remodel to transform the existing 56,734 square foot space into a “family entertainment venue,” according to the plans.

Operated by Entertainment Properties Group, Inc. , Pinstack features venues that include a full-service restaurant with a modern American menu (with items like The KingPin 36″ Pizza , pictured above — a giant 36-inch cheese pizza with “slices so big it takes both hands”), a full bar, and private dining areas, according to its website. The new Charlotte venue would likely follow suit, offering state-of-the-art bowling lanes with lane-side food and beverage service, a private VIP bowling area, laser tag, a rock climbing wall, bumper cars, and a high-ropes course suspended 20 feet above 100 of the latest video games and simulator technology.

The paperwork outlines the planned work, which includes a full interior demolition and remodel. The exterior would see significant changes as well, with plans to paint the existing facade, clad sections with thin brick and Nichiha, install new storefront doors and windows, add an 80-foot “unoccupiable” architectural feature, and update the signage and LED accent lights.

When reached for comment Wednesday by What Now Charlotte over the phone, a Pinstack representative declined to comment saying the plans were too preliminary to discuss today and to reach out in a month for more information.

Pinstack has existing Texas locations serving Austin, San Antonio, and the DFW Metroplex including Plano, Frisco, Dallas, The Colony, Allen, McKinney, Addison, Richardson, Las Colinas, Irving, Grapevine, Round Rock, Pflugerville, Georgetown, Alamo Heights and North Rim area, according to its website.

Charlotte would likely be the company’s first foray out of the Lone Star state.
