Chopper 9 SkyZoom was over New Town Road where the suspect crashed a stolen truck in the front yard of a business.

The suspect then stole a BMW SUV from that scene, which he crashed into a Chevrolet pickup truck on Charlotte Highway near Lancaster Motor Company, the Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office stated.

A passerby stopped to help but when he checked on the driver of the pickup, the suspect in the BMW got into a Toyota work truck and drove off.

The suspect crashed the stolen Toyota on Highway 9 heading west toward Chester.

He was taken into custody and transported to a medical facility for treatment.

Injury reports and arrest information have not been released.
