    Teens in stolen car out of Huntersville caught after chase from SC into Charlotte: Police

    HUNTERSVILLE, N.C. ( QUEEN CITY NEWS ) — Several teenagers in a stolen vehicle from Huntersville led authorities on a chase from York County, SC, into Charlotte on Monday.

    According to the Huntersville Police Department, the vehicle involved in the pursuit was stolen from Huntersville several days ago in the 10300 block of Wilmington Street.

    Huntersville Police said the vehicle was taken during the overnight hours between July 13 and July 14. They said the victim and suspects do not know each other.

    On Monday, the York County Sheriff’s Office confirmed they began pursuing the stolen vehicle until “traffic became hazardous.” That’s when CMPD’s helicopter took over pursuing the vehicle.

    CMPD confirmed with Queen City News that they assisted with tracking the stolen vehicle and were able to make an arrest in Charlotte.

    Huntersville Police said those involved are all juveniles. The case is still listed as an active investigation at this time, they said.
