    Chase with stolen car out of Charlotte ends with arrest in Caldwell County

    HUDSON, N.C. ( QUEEN CITY NEWS ) — A car stolen out of Charlotte ended up four counties away before the driver was stopped and arrested early Wednesday morning.

    According to the Caldwell County Sheriff’s Office, its deputies intercepted the chase once it reached Granite Falls at about 1:05 a.m. July 17. It ended 20 minutes later after spike strips were deployed to stop the suspect vehicle.

    Caldwell deputies say the vehicle was stolen in Charlotte, then eventually led law enforcement into Catawba and Caldwell counties.

    The driver and the passenger were charged with possession of a stolen motor vehicle. There were additional charges from other counties as well related to the chase.
