Cam Newton gives College Football 25 opponent surprise of a lifetime during side-splitting live stream

When venturing into the world of online gaming, you may never know who’s on the other side of the headsets. And that was the case for one very lucky Cam Newton fan, who almost didn’t realize he was actually playing against Cam Newton.

For the past few weeks, the Carolina Panthers great and rising YouTube star has been live-streaming his head-to-head battles in EA Sports College Football 25—the recently-released and highly-popular college football video game. During one of his now-usual late-night clashes, Newton (playing as the University of South Carolina Gamecocks) matched up against a local man (playing as the University of North Carolina Tar Heels).

Hilariously enough, Newton’s opponent was not aware of exactly who he was locking up with until the final minute of gameplay. But when he does, absolute hysteria would ensue . . .

Newton was so moved by the interaction, that he hopped on Twitter/X to post the following message . . .

Not that the result actually mattered to his ecstatic Greensboro fan to that point, but Newton chalked up a 32-29 victory in their Battle of the Carolinas.
