CHARLOTTE, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — Less than 48 hours before the start of preseason, the Carolina Panthers are preparing for their game against the New England Patriots on Thursday.

Sports Director Carla Gebhart learned that the Panthers plan to not use quarterback Bryce Young at the start of preseason.

Queen City News found out at Fan Fest that backup quarterback Andy Dalton suffered a quad injury and will be missing a couple of weeks out of the season.

Head Coach Dave Canales tells us that they can not afford to lose their quarterbacks before the start of the season.

Following the preseason games against the Patriots, the Panthers will face the New York Jets on August 17 at home and the Buffalo Bills on August 24.
