The primetime matchup between the Patriots and Panthers will feature a young quarterback looking to kick off his preseason slate with a strong performance.
New England rookie Drake Maye, the No. 3 overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft, will make his professional debut Thursday night. The 21-year-old won't start for the Patriots — Jacoby Brissett will play with the first unit – but the fans inside of Gillette Stadium will certainly be watching closely when Maye runs onto the field.
