Six months after a 20-year-old woman's remains were found over 100 miles from her home , police arrested three people in connection with her death.

The body of Maury-Ange Faith Martinez, from Alpharetta, Georgia , was found in Chattanooga, Tennessee in January. Martinez was reported missing by her family on August 28, 2023. Her skeletal remains were found about 100 miles from the Georgia state line.

Police aren't sure how long her remains had been there. Arrest records obtained by 11Alive show Allen Kerr, Sean Deschauzer and Jasmine Craig were arrested in connection with her death.

Cobb County police said all three were charged with "concealing the death of another in relation to Martinez's death .

Martinez's mom, Anita Darling, said her last moments with her daughter were special. She said: "We spent the day together. It was August 17. We went out for sushi, and then we went to watch the Barbie movie.

"We just hung out that day. We just spent the day relaxing and catching up," her mother said. Her mother described her as a "charismatic, magnetic, sparkling, fun, loving person."

Darling also told Local News 3 that she was on her way to "a courthouse in Atlanta" to pick her up but Martinez called her to say she got a ride.

Martinez told her mother she got a ride with someone she didn't know. “I had a conversation with her about it, it still seemed strange. I got off the phone with her and felt uneasy about it,” she told Local News 3. The mother says she sent Martinez a text message and it was viewed at 10pm but she never responded.

Police ask anyone who had seen, spoken to, or knows what happened to Martinez to contact the Cobb County police's Crimes Against Persons Unit at 770-499-3945. Tips can also be submitted through Crime Stoppers of Greater Atlanta at 404-577-TIPS (8477).

"Thank you for your assistance and support in finding justice for Maury-Ange and her family," the department said.
