CHEBOYGAN – The 2024 Cheboygan area high school baseball campaign was a thrill from start to finish.
So many different players stood out and teams delivered by winning championships on the diamond.
With the campaign now complete, here’s a look at the 2024 Cheboygan Daily Tribune all-area baseball team, led by Inland Lakes senior Connor Wallace, the Tribune’s player of the year for a second consecutive season.
2024 Cheboygan Daily Tribune All-Area Team
1 st Team
Connor Wallace, Inland Lakes, Senior (PLAYER OF THE YEAR) – The Grand Rapids Community College signee had an exceptional final season with the Bulldogs, earning Michigan High School Baseball Coaches Association (MHSBCA) Division 4 all-state first team honors, playing in the MHSBCA East-West All-Star Game, and being named the Ski Valley’s player of the year for a second straight year.
Dylan Szymoniak, Onaway, Senior – One of the best pitchers in the area, Szymoniak played a pivotal role in the Cardinals winning regional and district titles. Was named to the All-Ski Valley first team.
Ty Kolly, Inland Lakes, Sophomore – It was a huge second season for Kolly, who impressed at second base and as a hitter. Made the All-Ski Valley first team.
Aidan Fenstermaker, Inland Lakes, Junior – Whether it was catching, pitching or hitting, Fenstermaker was immense as he earned MHSBCA all-state honorable mention recognition and All-Ski Valley first team honors.

Dylan Balazovic, Cheboygan, Senior – Capped off an excellent career by earning All-Straits Area Conference first team accolades. When he wasn’t catching, Balazovic stepped up and was a solid pitcher for the Chiefs as well.
Jake Willey, Inland Lakes, Senior – The Inland Lakes third baseman wrapped up a stellar career with a big senior season. Came up with big hits time and time again. Made the All-Ski Valley second team.
Luke Lovelace, Onaway, Junior – One of several elite catchers in the area, Lovelace was another key player during Onaway’s magical postseason run. He also made the All-Ski Valley first team.
Cole Selke, Onaway, Senior – Clutch on the mound and smooth in the infield, Selke had an impressive senior campaign that saw him earn All-Ski Valley first team honors.
Nick Vieau, Mackinaw City, Senior – The Northern Lakes Conference’s player of the year excelled as a catcher and offensively in his final season with the NLC champion Comets.
Andre Bradford, Inland Lakes, Sophomore – Delivered a breakout season for the Bulldogs in the outfield. One of many I-L players to make the All-Ski Valley first team.
Sean Postula, Cheboygan, Junior – Cheboygan’s ace was consistent on the mound and impressed in the bigger games. Earned a spot on the All-SAC first team.
Jackson Chaskey, Onaway, Senior – Had an outstanding senior season in the outfield and as a top hitter for the regional champion Cardinals. Earned All-Ski Valley first team honors.

Trystan Swanson, Mackinaw City, Senior
Payton Teuthorn, Inland Lakes, Senior
Justin Kramer-St. Germain, Onaway, Senior
