    Opera House offers July entertainment and fun

    CHEBOYGAN — There is plenty on offer this July at the Cheboygan Opera House.

    From Chamberfest performances to big band swing, here’s what on the schedule this month:

    • July 13: The Chamberfest series continues with Evren Ozel at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, July 13. Pianist Ozel will present a program called “Music of the Night,” featuring works by Beethoven, Debussy, Bartok, Schumann and Ravel. Tickets are $30 for adults, $25 for veterans and free for students.
    • July 16: Mulebone, a musical partnership comprised of multi-instrumentalist John Ragusa and roots music specialist Hugh Pool, will perform at the Opera House at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, July 16. The duo are known for traditional blues. Tickets are $25 for adults,$20 for veterans and $10 for students.
    • July 22: The World Famous Glenn Miller Orchestra, a big band known for concert and swing dance, will return to the Opera House at 7:30 p.m. on Monday, July 22. The present Glenn Miller Orchestra was formed in 1956 and has been touring worldwide ever since. Tickets are $25-$40, with veterans getting a $5 discount. Student tickets are $10.
    • July 26: In this Chamberfest concert, the Pacifica Quartet will take the stage at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, July 26. Tickets are $30 for adults, $25 for veterans and free for students.
    • July 31: The Sound Garden Project, presented by Interlochen Public Radio, will offer a free classical concert in Cheboygan. The PULSE Saxophone Quartet will perform at 7 p.m. in Washington Park. In the event of rain, the concert will move to Festival Square.
