The 2024 slate includes five meets on the road ahead of conference and national championship competition. Locals made their mark in the state and beyond this spring in high school girls outdoor track. Lily MacDonald of Norwell (triple jump) and Maya Ashu of Stoughton (javelin) produced the area's top finishes at the New England championships with each placing second. Carver's Carly Peterson tied for 9th in the high jump at New Englands, Oliver Ames' Lavender Kozaka was 13th in the long jump and 16th in the 100 meters, and OA's 4x800m relay finished 8th.

After a glorious game one victory, the squad was back in the office and naturally everybody was arguing with each other. Even after a great win, the team couldn't agree on one thing: should Tommy Smokes have taken the potential game winning shot? This brings up an interesting conversation considering the circumstances. Is it too much of a "bit" to see if Tommy would have made the game winner? Or would it be good for content either way? Despite the awesome win the week prior, we were still all at each others throats.

For girls lacrosse on the South Shore, this season was full of record-breakers, personal bests, and scoring. Lots of scoring. Weymouth’s Megan Doyle not only broke her own season goal record, but also smashed the school’s all-time points mark, reaching 500 career points. Cardinal Spellman Junior Elle Murphy became the first in school history with 200 career goals, and South Shore Tech saw its first ever 100-career-goal-scorer in Peyton Mathisen.
