VILLAGE OF PORT DICKINSON, NY ( WIVT/WBGH ) – Chenango Valley invited job seekers to Port Dickinson Elementary today to check out all of the career opportunities within the district.

CV held a job fair to highlight district positions at all three of its campuses, including Port Dickinson, Chenango Bridge, and the Middle and High School.

Superintendent Larry Dake, says the district only has a few full-time positions available, but they are always looking to hire substitutes or part-time work.

CV is hiring for a variety of positions including school monitors, bus drivers, substitute teachers, nurses, teacher aides, and others.

Dake says for interested job seekers, it’s better to start the on-boarding process over the Summer, so you can hit the ground running in the Fall.

“We know, as the school year goes on, we may have openings that come up. So, to get people into our pipeline, into our system, and get them board approved and fingerprinted and just start that process, is always beneficial,” says Dake.

At the job fair, job seekers could interview and visit with the different departments and submit applications.

Dake says if you weren’t able to make it to the career fair, you can call the school and setup an interview. You can find the contact information for every department on the district’s website, CVCSD.STIER.org .
