Homer man identified in fatal Cayuga County crash
SEMPRONIUS, NY (CortacaToday) – A crash that killed a Cortland County man remains under investigation in Cayuga County. Cayuga County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the Town of Sempronius around 11:40 p.m. Friday for a report of a single-vehicle accident. The preliminary investigation indicates a vehicle driven by 23-year-old Lane Quaile went off the roadway near the intersection of Atwood and Frazier Road and struck a pole. Quaile was the sole occupant of the vehicle. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Acquitted Arson Suspect Sues Fire Department
A woman who was acquitted of arson charges last year for a fire that occurred in 2022, has filed suit against the Binghamton Fire Department and several law enforcement agencies that she claims were responsible for her malicious prosecution and fourteen months of incarceration. Marquetta James filed suit in US District Court for the Northern District of New York naming six entities and seven named individuals as defendants.
