Big Sky holds youth football camp

SPOKANE, Wash. -- A handful of Big Sky athletes held a youth football camp at North Central High School.

Every team in the conference was represented, including Eastern Washington and Idaho.

"A few of the kids were coming up to me saying, 'I love Eastern, I've been to a couple games.' That's always a good feeling when you can give back to the community a little bit and the kids actually know who you are and where you are from," EWU's Brock Harrison said.

The kids went through offensive and defensive drills and were able to get autographs from their favorite players.

"We are just college athletes out here and as a little kid you always look to those guys," Idaho's Tommy McCormick said. "To be out there on the field with them I know it means a lot to them and it means a lot to us."

For the Inland Northwest athletes, it was all about giving back to the future Eagle and Vandal football stars.

Big Sky Media day is set for Monday.
