FBI: One person dead after officer-involved shooting in Cherokee
CHEROKEE, N.C. (WLOS) — The FBI confirmed to News 13 on July 2 that there was an officer-involved shooting that resulted in a fatality on July 1 in Cherokee. The FBI said it is currently investigating the incident that was reported to have happened during an attempted traffic stop along U.S. 19 near the Swain County line in the nighttime hours of July 1.
