Cherokee County Aquatic Center Opening Oasis Pool Saturday

The Cherokee County Aquatic Center is opening its Oasis outdoor pool May 25.

The aquatic center, located at 1200 Wellstar Way on Sixes Road, will open the Oasis outdoor pool at 10 a.m. May 25. The facility will remain open until 7 p.m.

Operating hours May 26 will be from noon to 6:30 p.m. and May 27, Memorial Day, the pool will be open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Daily admission rates for Cherokee County residents are $6 for ages 2 to 13 and ages 55 and older, $7 for ages 14 to 54, and free for children under the age of 2. Daily admission rates for non-residents are $7 for ages 2 to 13 and ages 55 and older, $9 for ages 14 to 54, while children under the age of 2 swim for free.

“Visitors can expect a fun-filled day with concessions available,” said Cherokee County Aquatics Center Manager Tom McGerty. “Due to high demand, the facility is expected to reach maximum capacity early, so early arrival is recommended.”

In addition to the opening day festivities, the aquatic center will host an after-hours party for Memorial Day weekend from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. May 26.

The family-friendly event costs $10 per person and is open to all ages.
