Did they die or where they unalived?

In Virginia, once a catchphrase is utilized, it seems everyone jumps on board. Christians began saying a funeral was a celebration of life about 20 years ago, and now even the secular news media says celebration of life service. A new saying that is trending is "unalived."

On Facebook, in grocery and convenience stores, and even the post office, I have been hearing people say someone was unalived after they died. This began as a way not to have a social media post blocked or censored and initially was used only for those who took their own lives.

    Times and termonology changes

The AP says experts believe using the terminology "unalived" will help children handle death better. When I was growing up in Southwest Virginia, we were told that someone had died, and wakes were held in some homes with the dead bodies.

No one sugarcoated anything, and I don't recall any children being traumatized by the truth. Today, we live in different times and methods have changed. Keep thsis in mind if you hear someone say a person was unalived.
