    Kevin Sullivan's death may be related to a May accident

    Virginia wrestling fans one of the greats Kevin Sullivan, passed away at 77. The news broke on Thursday August 9 and says he died Friday which indicates August 2nd. AL Sports says no cause of death was revealed, but the LA Times suggests his demise was related to a tragic accident that happened three months ago.

    No specifics have been given, but according to The New York Post on May 12, Sullivan was signing autographs in Florida when he suffered a "devastating accident." This led to sepsis, a blood clot, and the loss of Sullivan's ability to function independently.

    The pro wrestler's legacy lives on

    Sullivan's daughter set up a GoFundMe, which has now been taken down. She said the accident saved her father's leg and his life but placed an enormous financial burden on the family.

    In 2022, Sullivan and wrestling manager J.J. Dillon appeared on the Judge Steve Harvey Show. Virginia fans know Kevin Sullivan went by many ring names, including "The Prince of Darkness" and The Taskmaster. His legacy as a pro wrestler ECW, WCW, and TNA lives on.
