    CHESTERTOWN POLICE

    Apr. 30 Cpl C. Schwink served a District Court Criminal Summons on Monica Lynn Wilson, age 37, of Chestertown. Wilson was charged with 2nd degree assault. Court date was pending at the time of this report.

    May 3 Pfc E. Nunez responded to the 100 block of N. Cross Street and served a District Court Bench Warrant for failure to appear on Aaliyah Renee Warner, age 23, of Chestertown.

    May 6 Ofc T. Burke initiated a traffic stop in the area of the 700 block of Washington Avenue and Morgnec Road. The driver was Pattrice Nichelle Warren, age 34, of Chestertown. Warren was charged with: driving while suspended — failure to attend driver improvement; driving motor vehicle on highway with suspended license and privilege; knowingly driving uninsured vehicle; and driving motor vehicle on highway without required license and authorization. Warren also was issued six payable traffic citations. Court date was pending at the time of this report.

    May 9 Pfc E. Nunez responded to the area of Maple Avenue and issued a Must Appear Traffic Citation to Vanessa Jeanet Holloway Truxon, age 45, of Sudlersville. Truxon was charged with knowingly driving an uninsured vehicle. Court date was pending at the time of this report.

    May 12 Ofc T. Burke responded to the area of Brown Street and issued a Must Appear Traffic Citation to Sherkita LaRea Hopkins, age 40, of Rock Hall. Hopkins was charged with driving on highway without required license and authorization. Court date was pending at the time of this report.

    May 13 Pfc B. McGinnis responded to the area of the 100 block of Flatland Road and issued a must appear traffic citation to Devin William Turner, age 28, of Chestertown. Turner was charged with knowingly driving an uninsured vehicle. Court date was pending at the time of this report.

    KENT COUNTY SHERIFF

    May 8 DFC D. Parent served a Kent County Circuit Court Arrest Warrant for second degree rape and associated charges on James Trevor Elburn, age 47, of Chestertown. Elburn was held at the Kent County Detention Center without bond.

    May 8 Cpl S. Lockerman served a Kent County District Court Bench Warrant for violation of probation on Efrain Perez-Garcia, age 31, of Elkton. Perez-Garcia was released by the District Court Commissioner on his own recognizance.

    May 8 Cpl S. Lockerman investigated a reported assault that occurred in the 24000 Block of Chestertown Road, Chestertown. The victim reported being assaulted by a known suspect. Incident was under investigation at the time of this report.

    May 8 DFC A. Freeman served a Kent County District Court Bench Warrant for failure to appear on John Paul Nordhoff, age 34, of Rock Hall. Nordhoff was released by the District Court Commissioner on his own recognizance.

    May 9 Cpl S. Lockerman conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for a traffic violation that occurred on Rock Hall Avenue, Rock Hall. After a K9 scan and positive alert by K9 Khari, Cpl Lockerman conducted a probable cause search of the vehicle at which time suspected controlled dangerous substance and paraphernalia were located. The operator of the vehicle, Kathleen Lynn Randolph, age 39, of Rock Hall was arrested. Randolph was charged with: possession of controlled dangerous substance: not cannabis; and possession of controlled dangerous substance paraphernalia. Randolph was released after being issued criminal citations.

    May 9 Cpl N. Blazejak served a Kent County District Court Arrest Warrant for possessing/issuing forged currency on Charles Wesley Williams, Jr., age 19, of Middletown, DE. Williams was released by the District Court Commissioner on an unsecured bond.

    May 9 D/S L. Manning investigated an assault that occurred in the 23000 Block of Baywood Court, Chestertown. The victim reported being assaulted by a known suspect several days prior. Incident was under investigation at the time of this report.

    May 11 D/S B. Collins served a Kent County District Court Criminal Summons for trespassing on Dwain Brown, Jr., age 25, of Chestertown. Brown was released after signing for the summons.

    May 11 DFC C. Rhodes served a Kent County District Court Criminal Summons for second degree assault on Hollie Evans, age 53, of Worton. Evans was released after signing for the summons.

    May 11 DFC F. Baker investigated an assault that occurred in the 4900 block of Piney Neck Road, Rock Hall. The victim reported being assaulted by a known suspect. Incident was under investigation at the time of this report.

    May 12 D/S B. Collins served a Kent County District Court Criminal Summons for second degree assault on Heather Marie Duncan, age 33, of Worton. Duncan was released after signing for the summons.

    May 13 Cpl S. Lockerman investigated a motor vehicle accident that occurred on High Street at Kent Street, Chestertown. Investigation revealed that a 1989 Ford Truck, driven by Vincent Michael Drury of Chestertown, struck the rear of a 2022 delivery truck, operated by Benjamin Doyle of East New Market, that was parked on the shoulder of High Street. There were no injuries and the Ford truck was towed from the scene. As a result of the investigation Drury was arrested. Drury was charged with: driving under the influence; driving while impaired; driving vehicle while so far impaired by drugs cannot drive safely; and driving vehicle while impaired by a controlled dangerous substance. Drury was released after being issued citations.

    May 13 DFC A. Freeman arrested Michael Luis Torres, age 39, of Galena on a Queen Anne’s County Circuit Court Bench Warrant for failure to appear. While arresting Torres, DFC Freeman found him to be in possession of suspected controlled dangerous substance: not cannabis; and controlled dangerous substance paraphernalia. Torres was issued criminal citations for the controlled dangerous substance offenses and turned over to the Queen Anne’s County Office of the Sheriff for service of the warrant.
