CHEYENNE — The multimillion-dollar Thunder Plains Park horse racing track and entertainment facility to be constructed 10 miles east of Cheyenne came before the Wyoming Gaming Commission last Thursday to seek approval of its ambitious timeline to begin live horse racing on Oct. 4.

But without a track completed, the Gaming Commission could not approve the requests for a conditional license for live events and historic horse racing gaming submitted by Cowboy Racing LLC, the racing company affiliated with Thunder Plains.
